1. I really want to study at your University, but I can’t speak Chinese, can I be instructed in English?

Answer: The program is fully English medium program. 
2. How is the international students education at Chongqing Medical University?
Answer: Chongqing Medical University is among the first group of universities approved by Ministry of Education in China to accept international students to study medicine in English. Since 2001, the university has accepted over 1,000 international students from over 30 countries and regions. 4. Does the university have any affiliated hospital and practice base?
Answer: Chongqing Medical University has 6 well-facilitated affiliated hospitals with 8900 beds and over 7,000,000 outpatients each year. 13 clinical specialties, including cardiovascular medicine, obstetrics, neonatology and children respiratory medicine are of national importance, representing the most advanced level of China in medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research.
5. How about the accommodation in the university?
Answer: Chongqing Medical University provides international students with comfortable on-campus accommodation. Single room and double room are available for international students. Usually, two students share one room. Some single rooms may also be available for early application. The hostel building equips with private bathroom with 24 hours hot water supply, necessary furniture, Internet access and air conditioner.

6. Can you provide airport pick up from the local airport to the Campus?
Answer: Sorry, Chongqing Medical University doesn’t provide Airport Pick-up service to international students. So, international students may go to school by taxi from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport to the school.
7. While making registration, can I pay the money in cash? If in cash then can I pay it in U.S Dollars currency?
Answer: Paying the tuition fees is part of the registration process, it can be done in cash in the form of Chinese Yuan (CNY), but since the largest note in China is 100 Yuan, you will have to carry a lot of notes to pay and this can be unsecured and difficult. It is recommended that you open a Chinese current bank account and have the money deposited there, then pay by Chinese debit card. The finance office only accepts Chinese Currency.

8.How is the climate in Chongqing City?
Answer: Climatic features of Chongqing can be summarized like this: spring comes early, but the temperature is changeable. International students can enjoy distinctive seasons in Chongqing City. The annual temperature of the city is average 18°C (64.4°F). 

9.How is the transportation situation in Chongqing City?
Answer: Chongqing is the only transportation hub in West China that integrates water, land, and air transportation. Several trunk railways and artery expressways meet in Chongqing. Fleets of three thousand-ton ships can reach Chongqing port along the Yangtze. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is one of China’s major airports. 
10. Is learning Chinese language compulsory? 
Answer: Even though the program is taught in English, but international students must study Chinese language according to Ministry of Education, China. International students are required to pass the basic Chinese language level. Students need practice with Chinese patients since clinical classes are taken in hospital. So, international students need to know basic Chinese language.
Besides, it will be helpful for students in daily life if they learn some Chinese language.

12. How is the canteen in the University? Is the living expense higher in Chongqing city? 
Answer: There are several dining halls on the campus providing kinds of delicious food for international students. The living expense here is around 150USD for your food per month. 
13. How can I exchange some Chinese currency for my pocket money when I just arrived in China?
Answer: Students can exchange some Chinese currency in bank for shuttle/bus ticket fare and pocket money in the big international airport when they arrive in China. And students can buy telephone card from business counter in the airport to give international call and domestic call if students need. 
14. What is the voltage used in China? 
Answer: The voltage here is 220 V. Converters and power strips may be purchased locally. 
15. How is China’s medical education ranking in the world?
Answer: China’s medical education ranks 4th worldwide.
