1. I really want to study at your University, but I can’t speak Chinese, can I be instructed in English?

Answer: The program is fully English medium program.
 
2. How is the living standard in Fuzhou City?

Answer: Fujian Medical University attaches great importance to international students life. There are two student canteens and 1 Muslim canteen on the campus providing daily diets for international students. Besides, public kitchen can also be used for international students to cook delicious food in the dormitory. International students can also choose delicious food near the campus.
 
4. How is the accommodation on the campus?
 
Answer: Fujian Medical University offers international students great on-campus accommodation. Double rooms are available for international students. The hostel building equips with private bathroom with 24 hours hot water supply, air conditioner, Internet access, landline, TV, required amenities and furniture, laundry and kitchen.
 
5. Can you provide airport pick up from the local airport to the Campus?
 
Answer: Sorry, Fujian Medical University doesn’t provide any airport pick up service. So, international students need to get to the university by themselves from the local airport - Fuzhou Changle International Airport.
 
6. While making registration, can I pay the money in cash? If in cash then can I pay it in U.S Dollars currency?
 
Answer: Paying the tuition fees is part of the registration process, it can be done in cash in the form of Chinese currency (CNY), but since the largest note in China is 100CNY, you will have to carry a lot of notes to pay and this can be unsecured and difficult. It is recommended that you open a Chinese current bank account and have the money deposited there, then pay by Chinese debit card. The finance office only accepts Chinese Currency.
 
7.How is the climate in Fuzhou City?
 
Answer: Fuzhou has a humid subtropical climate influenced by the East Asian Monsoon; the summers are long, the winters are short, mild. In most years torrential rain occurs during the monsoon in the second half of May. The annual average temperature is 19.84 °C (67.7 °F).

International students are required to pass the basic Chinese language level. Students need practice with Chinese patients since clinical classes are taken in hospital. So international students need to know basic Chinese language.

11. What is the voltage used in China? 
 
Answer: The voltage here is 220 V. Converters and power strips may be purchased locally.
 
12. How can I exchange some Chinese currency for my pocket money when I just arrived in China?
 
Answer: Students can exchange some Chinese currency in bank for shuttle/bus ticket fare and pocket money in the big international airport when they arrive in China. And students can buy telephone card from business counter in the airport to give international call and domestic call if students need.
