4 directly affiliated hospitals and 90 teaching (practicing) bases offer medical internship for international students at Hainan Medical University. For MBBS - medical undergraduate programs, the last year is for internship or rotation after 5 years’ theory study. Internship is of great importance to acquire MBBS/BDS degree.
In order to get Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery , international students must finish 1 year internship under the instruction of a professor after 5 year’s study of basic medicine and clinical medicine. They can choose internship in China or finish it when back to their home country.
