1. Brief Introduction
Xiaogan, simply called “Xiao” for short, was the only prefecture city named after Xiao in Chinese. Xiaogan is city enriched with filial piety culture, because of a story in Eastern Han Dynasty that Dong Yong sell himself in order to bury your father. Xiaogan is one of the cities in the Wuhan metropolitan area. It is a pilot area of new urbanization in China. 2. History
Xiaogan has a long history and culture. It is the hometown of filial piety culture and the important birthplace of Chu culture. It is also the famous old revolutionary base area. Qin Bamboo Slips, Qin and Han Dynasty lacquer ware and other treasures of the ancient city, was known to all of the world. Xiaogan has a lot of colorful ancient site, such as the ancient city of Chu, the ruins of the gate bay and Ye temple, and many traditional culture, such as Xiaogan paper cuts, Anlu cartoon, yangdian dragon lantern, cloud dream shadow puppet, etc. Xiaogan also has 50 Republic founding generals. It is a hometown of general Liu Huaqing, Xu Haidong, Liu Zhen and Nie Fengzhi, etc.
3. Geographic location
Xiaogan city is located in central northeast of Hubei province. It also located in the south of Tongbai and Dabie Mountains, north of the Yangtze River, east of Hanjiang River. The south is adjacent to Dongxihu District of Wuhan city and Xiantao city. . Xiaogan, adjacent to Wuhan, has superior location and convenient transportation. It is 60 kilometers away from the downtown of Wuhan, 30 kilometers away from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, and 50 kilometers away from Wuhan port, the largest inland port. Beijing-Guangzhou, Han Yu, Changjing railway all pass through Xiaogan. Beijing-Zhuhai, Fuzhou-Yinchuan, Hurong, Wujing four highways, and 107, 316 two national road crisscross in Xiaogan. And the Hanjiang River, Fu River, Ring River, and Hanbei River all connect with Yangtze River.
4.Transportation
Xiaogan has unique aviation location advantages, only 32 kilometers away from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, and Xiaogan airport economic zone is 5 kilometers away from Tianhe airport. At the same time, the Wuhan-Xiangan intercity railway is being built, and also has an airport station at Tianhe Airport, which will link the second aisle of Wuhan Tianhe Airport. Xiaogan has two train stations and many buses to many cities in China.
