Medical Degree Program in China - Human Immunology

Main immune systems cover thymus, spleen, bone marrow, lymph vessels, lymph nodes and secondary lymphoid tissue (such as tonsil or adenoid) and skin. On histological examination of the immune system, the main organs, the thymus and spleen can only be understood by postmortem anatomy, but the lymph node or secondary lymphoid tissue can be known in survival state through surgery. Many constituent molecules of immune system operate in body organs and tissues mostly in the form of cells.

The scope of modern immunology now includes all aspects of self and non self recognition phenomena, including organ transplantation, tumor immunity, autoimmune diseases and allergies. Recent significant developments are in understanding of the cellular and molecular basis of the immune response as well as the complexity of the genetic mechanisms requirements

Research direction

Foundation and application of new vaccine molecular design, innate and adaptive immune mechanisms and regulation, molecular and cellular basis of tumor immunity, autoimmune disease recognition and response mechanism

Branch and Subject

In essence, modern immunology is a branch of biology and medicine. But with the development of science and technology, itself derived from many independent branches, for example, and modern biology is closely related to the molecular immunology and immunology and immune genetic, and medicine are closely related to immunity, blood, immune pharmacology, disease free science and reproductive immunology and transplantation immunology, tumor immunology, anti infection and immunology, clinical immunology.

In early twenty-first Century, it has reached the cellular level and molecular level on the study of immunology , people are working hard to explore the biological stability mechanism of the basic physical laws - immunity. Many important problems in medicine, such as autoimmune, hypersensitivity, tumor immunity, transplantation immunity, immune genetic, will be better solved.

Immune diseases

Immune disorders are diseases that affect the body's immune response. Generalized immune disorders also include congenital or acquired causes of immune system structure or functional abnormalities. Autoimmune disease is an immune system to the body's own immune response, resulting in damage caused by disease. Under the influence of some factors, the body's tissue composition or the immune system itself has some abnormalities, causing the immune system to mistake itself as foreign objects to attack. At this time the immune system produces according to the components of the body's own antibodies and activated lymphocytes. The damage their own organs, leading to disease, such as: rheumatoid arthritis, system lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjogren's syndrome, ankylosing spondylitis.

Immune function

Immune function is the general term for the various biological functions of the immune system in the process of identifying and removing the "non self" antigens. Mainly include:

1 immune defense (Immunologicaldefence)

2 immune homeostasis

3 immune surveillance
