Jiangsu Normal University, founded in 1952, is located in the historically and culturally significant city of Xuzhou. It is supervised by the Jiangsu provincial government and Central Ministry of Education.
(1) Campus Overview
Jiangsu Normal University currently has four campuses: Quanshan,Yunlong, Kuiyuan, Jiawang. The four campuses cover around 1215589.5 square meters with nearly one million square meters of building space. The university has fixedassets totaling 1.223 billionYuan with 394 million Yuan of teaching and research equipment. Thelibrary system contains 2.49 million volumes. The university also has 3 experimental programs, 22 specialty schools, the Teachers' Education School,Further Education School, International College and Kewen Institute.

The university offers 1 doctor's program, 1 post doctoral research station, 124 master programs and 87 undergraduate majors, covering 11 discipline categories.Currently, the university has over 25,000 full-time undergraduate students and more than 2,300 postgraduates. For international students, there are many English-taught bachelor and master degree programs, such as International Trade and Economy, Software Engineering, Mechanical Design-Manufacturing and its Automation, and Tourism Management, etc. With over 60 years' development, Jiangsu Normal University has become a comprehensive teaching research university diverse in all its disciplines.
(3) Academic facilities and scientific research
The university establishes three base for technology transformation, supported by key lab, engineering center and co-innovation center, based on the Belt and Road Institution industry research institution., university technology park,and technology transferring center. The system of research oriented ,technology transferred, product brooding has been set up. All these have greatly improved the scientific service ability of the university.
University technology park is approved as national technology business incubator and national college students’ innovation training base; while technology transferring center is approved as national technology transferring demonstration agency. Some strategic cooperation agreements have been signed, including 7 university & local government co-platforms, 25 university & enterprise co-research centers, 59 university & enterprise associations, over 400 university & local government & enterprise projects. Provide service for more than 500 enterprises. At present, a group of marked products have been developed;transparent ceramics, LED ceramic phosphor, YAG ceramic plate, Cordyceps, natto, special welding electrode have been made into products.
(4) Communication and international cooperation
Jiangsu Normal University has successively built up friendly and cooperative relationships with 58 overseas universities in the UK, the US,Australia and Russia. In 2016, Jiangsu Normal University and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University co-founded JSNU-SPbPU Joint Engineering Institute. The university worked with The University of Edinburgh and University College London to establish the Link Laboratory for High Value Products from Plant and Deafness, Cognition and Research Center. The university collaborated with two universities in the US and Australia to found Confucius Institutes. The one at Miami-Dade College was honored with Excellent Confucius Institute. Among the university’s research institutes are the Pakistan Research Center, Australia Research Center, Iberian Latin-American Research Center and Belt and Road Research Institute.
