Qualified MBBS (English Medium Clinical Medicine) students, except students who receive the Yunnan Government Scholarship, are eligible to apply for Kunming Medical University Scholarship.
Students from Southeast Asian and South Asian countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are eligible to apply for Yunnan Government Scholarship.
Postgraduate students are eligible to apply Yunnan Government Scholarship.
Yunnan Government Scholarship
1. Criteria and eligibility
(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.
(2). Education background and age limit:
- Applicants for bachelor’s degree studies must have high school graduation certificate and good academic performance and be under the age of 25.
- Applicants for master’s degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
- Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
- Applicants for Chinese Language Study Program must have no Chinese language foundation, be under the age of 35 and hold a high school graduation certificate.
- Applicants for Professional Advanced Study Program must be a sophomore or above in an institution of higher learning or have Bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 45.
- Applicants for Research Scholars must have Master’s degree or above and be under the age of 50.

(4). For applicants who apply undergraduate study, transcripts of the latest study and the Admission Letter from the university you applied should be submitted.

(8). For applicants who apply postgraduate or doctoral study, recommendation letters from two professors/associate professors should be submitted
