Liaoning University is located in the central city of Northeast China, Shenyang City, founded in 1948. It is a Liaoning Provincial Comprehensive University. Liaoning University now have disciplines such as literature, history, philosophy, economics, law, foreign languages, arts, science industry and trade, management, and so on. (1) History
Liaoning University is located in the central city of Northeast China, Shenyang City, founded in 1948.September 1958 saw the amalgamation of the Northeast Institute of Finance and Economics, Shenyang Normal College and Shenyang Institute of Russian, which led to the birth of Liaoning University. Marshal Zhu De, one of the founders of the People's Republic of China, wrote the inscription of the school name for the university.

After more than half a century of unremitting efforts, Liaoning University has become a comprehensive university with many disciplines, such as literature, history, philosophy, economic, law, foreign languages, arts, science, engineering, management and so on. Liaoning University has 25 academies, 62 undergraduate majors, entitled to confer 190 master's degrees and 76 doctoral degrees. There are 8 Post doctoral mobile stations and 3 national key disciplines at Liaoning University. At present, the university enrolls 28000 Chinese students and about 1100 international students.

At present, Liaoning University has a teaching body of 1242 full-time faculty members, among whom there are 269 professors and 477 associate professors. The University's library with its 18,500-square-meter building area, equipped with modern advanced facilities, is stocked with over 1.6 million volumes, including over 300 kinds of rare and treasured books, which are affirmed by the United Nation as the exclusive possessions of the University's library. Liaoning University has 6 humanities and social science research bases in provincial and ministerial level, 6 provincial key laboratories, 1 provincial engineering technology research center, 6 University characteristic advantage discipline laboratories built by Central government and local government.
(4) Great achievements
Liaoning University is one of the leading universities listed in the nation's "Project 211". In 2012, Liaoning Province Natural Science Academic Achievement Awards results announced Liaoning University the school received a total number of 76 Awards in Liaoning Province Natural Science Academic Achievement, including 2 items of grand prize, 14 items of first prize, 31 items of second prize and 29 items of third prize. In 2012, the amount of scientific research reaches 246 million Yuan at Liaoning University.
(5) Communication and international cooperation
Since it was founded, Liaoning University has established formal friendly relationships of academic cooperation and interflow with over forty higher schools and research institutions in fourteen countries. Since the beginning of 1965 when started to receive foreign students, Liaoning University has taken more than 8000 long-term foreign students from the United States, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Italy, Britain, France and other 94 countries. There are nearly 1100 students studying in our school at the time. Currently, Liaoning University has established relationships with universities around the world, such as the University of Michigan, Waseda University, George Mason University, Indiana State University, California State University, Ozyegin University (Istanbul, Turkey), and Toyama University.
