1. I want to know some information about the school credits. Are there some strict requirements?

Answer: If student is absent for more than 10 credits hrs, he will get a warning paper;
If student is absent for more than 20 credits hrs, he will get a serious warning paper;
If student is absent for more than 30 credits hrs, he will get a demerit recording;
If student is absent for more than 40 credits hrs, he will get suspension;
If student is absent for more than 60 credits hrs, he will be expelled from school and never being readmitted.
 
2. Could you tell me how to get Shandong University School of Medicine? 
 
Answer: If there is no direct flight to Jinan, the recommended flight is transit from Beijing to Jinan (around 1.5 hours), or transit from Shanghai to Jinan (around 1.5 hours), or transit from Guangzhou to Jinan (around 3 hours). Students can choose the travel route according to their location.

3. If I can’t speak Chinese, how should I do?
 
Answer: Don’t worry. The program is fully English medium program. 
 
4. How is the canteen in the University? Is the living expense higher in Jinan city? 
 
Answer: You can do your own cooking according to your taste, or choose to eat at the cafeteria. The living expense here is around 150USD for your food per month. 
 
5. Can you send a vehicle to take us from the local airport to the University?
 
Answer: Sure, we can provide airport pick up service for the students in group from local airport - Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport to campus. But students should send detailed departure schedule to our college’s representative minimum 3 days in advance so that we can pick up without any delay. 
 
6. How can I exchange some Chinese currency for my pocket money when I just arrived in China?
 
Answer: Students can exchange some Chinese currency in bank for shuttle/bus ticket fare and pocket money in the big international airport when they arrive in China. And students can buy telephone card from business counter in the airport to give international call and domestic call if students need. 
 
7. What about the transportation, telecom and internet in Jinan City? 
 
Answer: there is one airport, three train stations and many buses in Jinan. There are convenient public facilities for telecom and internet, you can buy telecom card to call in any time and there are lots of internet pub for going on internet. 
 
8. What’s the weather like in Jinan City?
 
Answer: Jinan has a humid subtropical climate. The average annual temperature in Jinan is around 14.7 °C (58.46 °F). 
 
9. How is China’s medical education ranking in the world?
 
Answer: China’s medical education ranks 4th worldwide.
 
10. Can a student open a Bank Account? 
 
Answer: You could open a bank account in your name to keep his surplus money safe. You could also use this account to have your family remit any additional money as required.
 
11. Is learning Chinese language compulsory? 
 
Answer: Even though the program is taught in English, but international students must study Chinese language according to Ministry of Education, China. Chinese language classes are just offered in the first two years, three times per week, and international students are required to pass the basic level. From the third year, some clinical classes will be taken in hospital; students need practice with Chinese patients, so students need to know basic Chinese language.
 
Besides, it will be helpful for students in daily life if they learn some Chinese language.
