Shenyang Medical College, founded in 1949, is a medical university located in the capital of Liaoning Province. In 2007, Shenyang Medical University successfully passed the Teaching Work Level Evaluation of the Ministry of Education with a result of “Excellent”. In 2013 our university was granted the authority to award master’s degree and validated in clinical medicine profession certification.
The beautiful campus covers an area of 444,000 square meters with 236,000 square meters of floor space. It provides a comfortable environment for studying and living. The university is composed of 13 teaching institutions such as School of Basic Medical Science, School of Public Health, School of Clinical Medicine, School of Nursing, Medical Education Research Center; etc., and has 8 affiliated hospitals, 150 teaching hospitals and training bases.
There are 4220 teaching and medical staff, 638 of them working at the university, and 252 of them are full-time teachers. Among the faculty there are 81 professors, 112 associate professors, and 77 graduate tutors. There is a work station for national academicians specially invited by the city government. Microbiology is a key discipline of Liaoning Province. Our Environmental Pollution& micro-ecology lad and hand-surgery Organization Project Lab have been rated provincial and municipal key labs.
It offers courses in clinical medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, preventive medicine, anesthesiology, etc. both on diploma and undergraduate levels. It also offers Chinese learning courses for language learners. Now there are more them 10,000 students studying in our school.
Our University has been recruiting international students since 2004. Till now, more than 1000 international students from 40 countries are studying at our campus. 84% of our graduates have passed their national medical examinations.
Shenyang Medical University adopts open policies in running our school, establishing friendly relations with the universities and institutions of many countries carrying out international exchanges and cooperative efforts and holding many international and domestic academic conferences.
