University of Shanghai for Science and Technology admits international students for master’s degree in its English taught masters programs: (1) Thermal Power Engineering (2) Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering (3) Power Machinery and Engineering (4) Optical Engineering (5) Measuring and Testing Technologies and Instruments (6) System Analysis and Integration, (7) Management Science and Engineering (8) Biomedical Engineering,(9) Mechanical and Electrical Functional Materials (10) New Energy Materials (11) Material Engineering
1. Qualification for applicant
(1). Should be non-Chinese citizens in good health holding a valid foreign passport
(2). Aged under 35 years
2. Application Materials
(1). Application Form
(2). Valid Highest Education Certificate. Scan copy of degree diplomas and notarized Chinese or English translation. If the verification is written in a language other than Chinese or English, it must be translated into either English or Chinese with official notarization. If applicants are either students or have been employed, they must submit appropriate verification.
(3). Official transcripts of study records in Chinese or English. Chinese or English translations of the transcripts should be notarized;
(4). Study Plan in Chinese or English;
(5). 2 recommendation letters from either full professors or associate professors ( for Doctoral and Masters degrees programs applicants only)
(6). Students who apply for art programs should provide their works
(7). Scan copy of the first page of applicant valid and ordinary passport
3. Study Duration &Tuition Fee:
Masters degree takes 3 years
A tuition fee is 35,000 CNY/Year

Doctoral Degree/PHD Programs in English Medium
University of Shanghai for Science and Technology admits international students for Doctoral/PhD degree in its several English taught programs: (1) Engineering Thermodynamics (2) Thermo Power Engineering (3) Power Machinery and Engineering, (4) Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering (5) Optical Engineering (6) Measuring and Testing Technologies and Instruments (7) System Analysis and Integration (8) Management Science and Engineering, (9) Energy and Environment Engineering, (10) New Energy Materials, (11) Mechanical and Electrical Functional Materials (12) Biomedical Engineering.
1. Qualification for applicant
(1). Doctoral program applicant should hold a qualification which is equivalent to or above a Master’s degree from a Chinese university.
(2). Applicant should be non-Chinese citizens holding a foreign passport, aged less than 40 years
(3). Recommending by two professors or associate professors
