ZUEL Overseas Student Scholarship
Basic Criteria of Applicant
1. The applicant shall be a foreign citizen holding a regular foreign passport, with proper character, be friendly to China, and have no criminal record.
2. Students applying for the scholarship with the purpose of graduate studies in a program taught in English shall be qualified for IELTS 6.5 or above, or TOFEL 90 or above, and have good performance in university, with a GPA of 3.0 and above. Students whose native language is English shall not be required to provide IELTS or TOFEL grades.
Documents to Be Submitted by Applicant
1. Application Form
2. Scan copy of certificates for the student’s highest degree of education, academic transcripts, and photocopies of graduation certificates, all having passed notarization.
3. Plan for the student’s study in China, in no less than 1500 words for graduate programs.
4. Scan copy of “Physical Examination Record for Foreigner”.
5. Applicant for undergraduate program shall provide a letter of introduction from the graduating middle school; applicant for graduate program shall provide letters of introduction from two professor or associate professor-level faculty members.
6. Student applying for program taught in English shall provide scan copy of certificate for IELTS results of 6.5 or above, with the exception of student whose native language is English.
7. Scan copy of the applicant’s passport and personal photo.
ZUEL Alumni Scholarship
To attract excellent students all over the world to study in ZUEL, to expand international student enrollment size and raise student level, to improve the capability of running international education and to enhance the internationalization level of ZUEL, Alumni Association of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law set up the "Alumni Scholarship for International Students" and entrusted International Education School to carry it out.
Basic conditions for applicants
1. Applicants shall be citizens of foreign nationality and with foreign passports, and shall be on the straight, be friendly to China and have no illegal behavior and crime records.
2. For applicants who are going to pursue Postgraduate’s Degree with courses taught in English, English proficiency of IELTS above 6.5 (including 6.5) or TOEFL above 90 (including 90) and GPA at college of above 3.0 (including 3.0) are required. Applicants whose mother language is English are not required to submit their IELTS or TOEFL score.
3. For applicants who aim to study Chinese language at ZUEL, the aforementioned Chinese and English proficiency are not required.
Applicants shall submit the following materials:
1. Application Form.
2. Scan copy of final academic degree obtained and academic record and a copy of diploma.
3. A Study Plan of no less than 200 words for students who apply for Chinese language study or for Bachelor’s Degree and of no less than 1500 words for students who apply for Postgraduate’s Degree.
4. Scan copy of Physical Examination Record for Foreigners.
5. Applicants for Bachelor’s Degree shall submit Letters of Recommendation from the middle school they graduated from, while Applicants for Master’s Degree or Doctor’s Degree shall submit Letters of Recommendation from two professors or vice professors.
6. Applicants for projects taught in English shall submit scan copy of IELTS score report of 6.5 or above, except those whose mother language is English.
7. Scan copy of passport and a photo of the applicant.
