Henan Polytechnic University (HPU) devotes itself to promoting international academic exchanges and cooperation with institutions of higher education of foreign countries. Since 1980s, it has established sisterhood relationship with 30 countries and more than 60 universities and research institutions in USA, UK, France, Canada, Australia, Poland, Russia, Japan, Korea, etc and had made great achievements in teachers exchange, students exchange, scientific research and academic cooperation. At present, it offered undergraduate and postgraduate programs, short-term and long-term training programs for studying at HPU. The Education Department of Henan province announced the government scholarships projects plan for international students about 2017-2018 academic year, HPU awarded 42 government scholarship places for international students, including 30 Chinese language training student and 12 undergraduate degree students. The total amount of scholarship was over 400,000 CNY. HPU ranked 5 in Henan province universities. It greatly pushed the international development of HPU. And improved the international students’ qualities and quantities. Presently, nearly 80 international students from Canada, South Korea, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Bangladesh, etc. It is estimated that the admission amount of international students will breakout 100 next year.
