1. Criteria & Eligibility:
(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
(2). Education background and age limit:
Applicants for both the college and undergraduate programs must have a senior high school diploma with a good academic performance and be under the age of 30.
Applicants for the master's degree program must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35.
Applicants for the doctoral degree program must have a master's degree and be under the age of 40.
(3). Applicants must agree to obey the relevant laws of the PRC and meet the admission requirements of the host universities or colleges.
(4). Applicants must have a good academic record.
(5). Applicants cannot be recipients of other scholarships offered by Chinese government, local governments or other organizations simultaneously.

(1). Passport photo page
(2). Notarized highest diploma / degree certificate. High school students or university students shall also provide Certificate of Enrollment from the school or the university they are studying in
(3). Notarized academic transcripts
(4). Recommendation letters: Applicants for postgraduate studies must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors with contact details of referees

Yangzhou University PhD Scholarship
In order to encourage and support more talented overseas students and scholars study in Yangzhou University and to develop overseas education, Yangzhou University PhD Scholarship is set up to provide excellent overseas students and scholars with the opportunity to study as Doctoral Degree students in Yangzhou University. In order to standardize the application and implementation of scholarship, Regulations on Application for Yangzhou University PhD Scholarship is made.
1. Eligibility for Application:
(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens
(2). Applicants must have Master degree and be under the age of 45
(3). Applicants should abide by Chinese Laws and Regulation of Yangzhou University
(4). Applicants should study hard, have good academic performance, and be in good health
(5). Applicants have not received any other scholarship in China
2. Application documents:
(1). Application Form
(2). Notarized Highest Diploma. If the applicant is postgraduate student or has already started a career, he/she needs to submit the attest of enrollment from school or incumbency certification provided by the place he/she is employed
(3). Notarized Academic Transcripts
(4). Study Plan in China (more than 1000 words)
(5). Two Letters of Recommendation from two professors or associate professors in the university or the place he/she is employed
(6). Foreigner Physical Examination Form. All the attachments in the list should be provided. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or materials without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination as it is valid for only 6 months

Note: Scan copies of the above-mentioned materials (Chinese or English) should be submitted. If the original certificate is written in language other than English or Chinese, it should be notarized and translated into Chinese or English version.
