1. Applicant Qualification
(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, abide by laws, decrees and rules, regulations of People’s Republic of China and Southwest Jiaotong University
(2) Applicants must have attained a Bachelor’s degree or above, with a higher level of English proficiency, under the age of 45, in good health, and also meet the professional requirements of the university which applicants applied for.
2. Application Materials
1) Application Form;
2) Scan copy of graduation certificate and degree diploma, which should be certified in Chinese or English. Applicants expecting to graduate should provide an official letter stating expected graduation date.
3) Scan copy of certificate of the language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL);
4) Scan copy of certified official academic transcripts. The transcripts should include list of courses taken and standard achieved;
5) Scan copy of two academic recommendation letters in Chinese or English from scholars of associate professorship or higher (must show referee’s phone number and email address on the letter).
6) Scan copy of your valid national passport;
7) Scan copy of Physical Examination form. If you are already in china, the valid visa page is required;
8) Scan copy of passport-sized latest photo;
9) Scan copy of CV;
10) Study plan in China;
11) Personal statement. 1500 words in English. Please make a detailed statement from the perspectives of your academic background, work/research experience and achievements, research proposal, future career plans and intentions, etc.
12) Scan copy of others: kinds of certificates, including sports, arts and other relevant certificates, are warmly welcome.
3. Entry Examination
Applicants need to pass the written exam on a major subject or interview.
4. Duration and Tuition Fees
All the Master degree programs at Southwest Jiaotong University take 3 years.
Tuition fees are 22,000 CNY/Year for the student’s admitted in Economy and Management, Liberal Arts, 25,000 CNY/Year in Science and Engineering, and 26,000 CNY/year in Art Design, Architecture.
