Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarships

1. Requirements:

Master’s and Doctoral Degree candidates:

a. Master’s degree candidates: at least hold a bachelor’s degree;

b. Doctoral degree candidates: at least hold a master’s degree;

c. Have a competitive academic record in undergraduate or graduate education;

d. Two letters of recommendation by professors or associate professors from universities candidates graduate;

e. Under the age of 35 for Master’s candidates and 40 for doctoral candidates.

Bachelor’s Degree candidates:

a. At least hold a high school diploma, and have a competitive academic record in high school or undergraduate education;

b. Under the age of 30.

Long-term non-degree Candidates: Have a competitive academic record;

(2). Other Requirements

a. Non-Chinese citizens;

b. Abide by the laws, regulations and rules of the People’s Republic of China and ZSTU;

c. Have a good reputation, respect teachers and fellow students;

d. Both physically and mentally healthy;

e. NOT win any other scholarships in China.

2. Application Documents:

(1). Application Form;

(2). Valid scan copy of English Proficiency Certificates (if applicable).

(3). A photocopy of your passport information page with personal signature;

(4). A photocopy of your valid Visa or Residence Permit if you are already in China;

(5). Scan copy of highest diploma. Documents in languages other than English must be attached with translations in English;

(6). Scan copy of transcripts. Transcripts in languages other than English must be attached with translations in English;

(7). Applicants for master or doctoral degree studies and senior scholars must submit two letters of recommendation by professors or associate professors;

(8). Scan copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Report (the report is valid for 6 months);

(9). Scan copy of study certificate (including class attendance) and transcripts given by the previous university in China (if applicable);

(10). Applicants under 18 should submit the legal documents of their legal guardians in China;

ZSTU International Student Scholarships

1. Requirements

Specific Requirements

ZSTU President Scholarship

1. Application Requirements:

(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health with no infectious disease or any physical or mental diseases that may affect the normal study;

(2). Education background and age limit:

Applicants of Master degree programs must be under the age of 35, and have a Bachelor’s degree;

Applicants of Doctoral degree programs must be under the age of 40, and have a Master’s degree.

(3). Language proficiency:

For English-taught programs, applicants must fulfill at least one of the following requirements:

a. English as the native language

b. English as the language of instruction at high school/college

c. A minimum TOFEL score of 80 (IBT)/550(PBT)

d. A minimum IELTS score of 5.5

(4). Applicants must be international students wishing to be admitted to the Doctoral or Master Degree programs at ZSTU starting in September.

4. Application Documents to Be Submitted:

(1). Application Form;

(2).Scan copy of published academic papers or other forms of academic accomplishments (if applicable).

(3). Scan copy of your passport information page with personal signature;

(4). Scan copy of your valid Visa or Residence Permit if you are already in China;

(5). Scan copy of highest diploma (If the applicant is a university student, he/she must provide a certification of enrollment issued by his/her current university. Documents in languages other than English must be notarized into English);

(6). Scan copy of transcripts of Bachelor and/or Master Program (Documents in languages other than English must be notarized into English);

(7). Study/Research Plan in English describing the applicant’s previous educational and/or work experience, research accomplishments, research field and research plan relating to the applicant’s future study at ZSTU, and career goals after graduation;

(8). Reference letters from two professors/associate professors (in Chinese or English);

(9). Scan copy of “Foreigner Physical Examination Form”, printed by the health and quarantine departments of the Chinese Government and filled out in English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Medical examination results will be valid for 6 months. All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor into consideration as they plan to take the medical examination;

(10). Certification of Language Proficiency (TOFEL or ILETS score reports, etc.);
