Zhejiang University Scholarship

Eligibility:
 
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
2. Applicants must NOT be registered students in Chinese universities at the time of application or graduates from Chinese universities whose graduation is less than one year ago.
3. Education background and age limit:
- Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor degree and be under the age of 35;
- Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master degree and be under the age of 40.
4. Applicants should have a competitive academic record.
5. Applicants should have strong scientific research ability.
6. Applicants should not be beneficiaries of any other scholarships.
7. Language proficiency requirements:
Applicants (except for English native speakers) must have an internet-based TOEFL test score 90 or IELTS test score 6.5 (or above).

2. Scan copy of passport;
3. Form for Provisional Acceptance of International Student by ZJU Professor (if applicable);
4. Scan copy of Highest degree certificate, if applicants are university students, they must also provide an official pre-graduation certificate showing their student status and stating expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than English must be attached with notarized translations in English;
5. Scan notarized copy of Academic transcripts. Applicants for master degree studies need to provide their undergraduate transcripts, and those for doctoral degree studies need to provide their undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Documents in languages other than English must be attached with notarized translations in English.
6. Scan copy of English proficiency certificates: Applicants must provide the certificate of TOEFL or IELTS test score. (Not required for English native speakers);
7. Personal statement, in English, should include study and work experience, reasons for application and study proposal, no less than 1500 words;
8. Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, in English (Professors’ contact phone number and email address must be put on the letter.)
9. Published academic papers or other academic achievements (if applicable);
10. Scan copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form, filled in English. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid.
 
Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program
 
“Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program” is a full scholarship program established by BAI XIAN Education Foundation Limited at Zhejiang University to sponsor high-caliber Asian young students to participate in Two-year English-taught program “Master in Public Administration: Asia Synergy Program for Future Leaders”. The Scholarship Program aims to enhance the exchanges amongst young Asian students, promote cross-cultural understanding and trust, foster future Asian leaders who are able to lead the direction of world development, and therefore build a more harmonious international environment for the friendly exchanges among Asian countries and hence the peace of world.
 
Zhejiang University, entrusted by BAI XIAN Education Foundation Limited, is responsible for the enrollment and administration of the Scholarship Program.
 
1. Eligibility
 
(1). Applicants must hold citizenship of an Asian country (other than the People’s Republic of China);
(2). Applicants must be in good health condition;
(3). Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or be graduating students and be under the age of 40;
(4). Applicants must have academic excellence, honesty and integrity, open vision, sense of responsibility and mission;
(5). Applicants must appreciate the mission and vision of the Scholarship Program;
(6). Applicants must have a good command of English and can be taught in English;
(7). Non-native English speakers must provide relevant English proficiency certificate;
(8). Applicants shall not be a recipient of any other scholarship or any form of funding support from a third party;
(9). If admitted with scholarship, applicants shall stay enrolled as a full time student at Zhejiang University. It is prohibited to take up any paid full-time or part-time employment outside of the program. Students must follow the teaching programs arranged by the university;
(10). Applicants must agree to sign a student commitment letter stipulated by “Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program”;
