Guangxi Government Scholarship for ASEAN Students
To further attract and encourage more students from ASEAN countries to study in Guangxi province, expand the enrollment of ASEAN students, as well as to promote the internationalization of education in our province, Guangxi Government Full Scholarship for ASEAN Students was set up in 2010. Specific issues are notified as follows:
Categories of applicants and duration of scholarship
Bachelor Degree Students: 3 academic years
Master Degree Students: 3 academic years
Doctor Degree Students: 3 academic years
Basic information of the scholarships
1. Coverage of the scholarship:
(1). Tuition waiver;
(2). Accommodation: free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy;
(3). Stipend: Within the scholarship duration, registered scholarship students will receive stipend from their host university month by month.

2. Criteria and eligibility
(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.
(2). Education background and age limit:
-Applicants for Bachelor degree studies must have high school certificate and be under the age of 30.
-Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
-Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
3. Application documents
(1). Application Form (filled in Chinese or in English).
(2). Scan copy of the applicant's passport.
(3). Notarized scan copy of highest diploma: Applicants employed shall provide proof of studying on application. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
(4). A Notarized scan copy of academic transcripts: Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
(5). Study or research plan: in Chinese or in English, no less than 800 words.
(6). Recommendation letters: Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
(7). Published academic papers or other academic achievements (if applicable).
(8). Scan copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination as it is valid for only 6 months.
