Answer: The program is fully English medium program.

2. How is the living standard in Nanchang city? What about the canteen in the University?

Answer: The living expense here is reasonable, for example, about 150USD for your food per month. There are five student canteens in the campus of Jiangxi Agricultural University. In 2004, the student canteen was evaluated as an advanced unit of food hygiene by the Nanchang Municipal Health Authority and Class B Unit by the provincial health department. Jiangxi Agricultural University invested over 1.2 million CNY to set up a standardized student restaurant. Complete hardware facilities, elegant decoration and elegant environment provide a good environment for students to have meals.

3. How can I arrive in Nanchang city, the location of University?

Answer: If there is no direct flight to Nanchang, the recommended flight is transit from Beijing to Nanchang (around 2.5 hours), or transit from Shanghai to Nanchang (around 2 hours), or transit from Guangzhou to Nanchang (around 1.5 hours). Students can choose the travel route according to their location.

Answer: Sorry, Jiangxi Agricultural University doesn’t provide Airport Pick-up service to international students at present. International students can take a taxi from Nanchang Changbei International Airport to campus. 

5. How can I exchange some Chinese currency for my pocket money when I just arrived in China?

Answer: Students can exchange some Chinese currency in bank for shuttle/bus ticket fare and pocket money in the big international Airport when they arrive in China. And students can buy telephone card from business counter in the airport to give international call and domestic call if students need.

Answer: There is one international airport, two main train stations and many buses to many cities in China. There are convenient public facilities for telecom and internet, you can buy telecom card to call in any time and there are lots of internet pubs for going on internet.

Answer: Nanchang has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate with distinct four seasons, while the annual mean is 17.63 centigrade degree (63.73°F).

11. Is learning Chinese language compulsory?

Answer: Even though the program is taught in English, but international students must study Chinese language according to Ministry of Education, China. Chinese language classes are just offered three times per week, and international students are required to pass the basic level. Besides, it will be helpful for students in daily life if they learn some Chinese language.
