Brief Introduction
Medical School of Nantong University is the largest school of Nantong University. It originated from Nantong Medical College, a private college founded in 1912 by Mr. Zhang Jian, the famous modern educator and industrialist of China. It was one of the earliest medical colleges in China.

Medical School of Nantong University has 21 departments, among which 18 teaching and research sections are under the Department of Clinical Medicine and the Department of Medical Imaging. It has a Basic Medical Experimental Teaching Center composed of 5 laboratories and a Clinical Experimental Teaching Center composed of 3 laboratories. It also has a Basic Medical Research Center as well as 13 university level or school level research institutes.

Medical School of Nantong University has 8 undergraduate programs, which are clinical medicine, stomatology, medical imaging, medical information, rehabilitation medicine, and pharmacy, bioinformatics and medical experiment technology. Clinical medicine specialty is the national characteristic specialty, Brand Speciality of Jiangsu Province. Medical imaging specialty is the specialty of Jiangsu province. At present, there are 1 national key discipline, 2 provincial first-class key disciplines, 1 key discipline of Provincial university construction, the basic medical science is a dominant discipline in Jiangsu universities.

Medical School of Nantong University has good teaching conditions. 264 full-time faculties are engaged in teaching and research, among which 183 faculties are professors. There are all kinds of equipments, which can meet the teaching and research needs of basic medicine and clinical medicine.
