First Affiliated Hospital of University of South China
First Affiliated Hospital of University of South China is located in the history city, Hengyang city in Hunan Province, founded in 1943, and formally named Hengyang Area People’s Hospital in Hunan Province. It is a large comprehensive hospital directly affiliated by Ministry of Hunan Province, focusing on medical, teaching, research, prevention and rehabilitation. It is one of the hospitals in Hunan province with most completed disciplines and most abundant technical forces. In 1994, it was awarded the title of "grade three class A hospital" by the Ministry of public health.
The hospital is a training base for national general practitioners and a standardized training base for residents in Hunan province. With an area of 4000 square meters of medical training center, it holds all kinds of medical training more than 70 times every year. It has been training more than 70 resident students in southern Hunan Province for free. Currently, there are 403 students (including 164 5+3 graduate students) are receiving standardized training of residents.
In recent years, it held many primary trauma care training. It has trained 170 students in Hengyang. The hospital was awarded the "Outstanding team award in Chinese primary trauma care training", in the primary trauma training summary and the first session of the World Conference on the treatment of primary trauma.
