Accommodation in West China Medical Center of Sichuan University

On-Campus Hostel

 

West China Medical Center of Sichuan University supplies overseas students with comfortable and enjoyable accommodation. In all the three campuses, there are hotel-style international students hostels. International student office also arranges full-time staff to help the office manage the accommodation work in order to solve the related affairs of international students in time. There are three room types for international students to choose: double room in two different styles and single room. For the international student who chooses the double room, the roommate could be assigned by the university or chosen by the international student after reaching the university. All the rooms are furnitured with air-conditioning, telephone, color TV and internet access. There are rules and regulations for accommodation, students shall read carefully after reaching the university. Prior to entrance registration at FSAO (Foreign Student Affairs Office), new students may apply for dormitory accommodation at the reception desk of East Overseas Student Dormitory. The Admission Notice issued by the Foreign Student Affairs Office and the passport are required. The reception desk serves 24 hours a day. The reception desk accepts CNY cash.

 

Students are required to pay the electricity, water and internet they use.

 

Off-Campus Accommodation

 

West China Medical Center of Sichuan University also allows international students to choose off-campus accommodation. According to the Rules for the Implementation of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Control of the Entry and Exit of Aliens, every foreign student who lives off-campus should register to the local police station in 24 hours after arrival. The foreign student should go with his/her landlord to the local police station and apply for a Registration Form for Temporary Residence. This form is a necessity for residence permit or visa applications. It is also required for entrance registration at FSAO.
