1. Introduction

Mining Engineering programmainly researches and studies the theory and method of deposit mining, develops new technologies of mining industry. Mining engineering program undertakes the theoretical research of promoting the development of mining technology, making mining engineering comply with the high quality level of safety, economy, high efficiency.

2. Training Objectives

Mining engineering program trains senior engineering and technical personnel who have the basic theory and method of solid (coal, metal and non-metallic) deposit mining, have the basic ability of mining engineer, can be engaged in the field of mining area development plan, mine (underground and open) design, mine safety technology and engineering design, supervision, scientific research of production technology management in the mining field.

3. Training Requirements

The students mainly study the basic theory and basic technology of engineering mechanics of rocks, mining and mine safety and engineering aspects, receive the basic training of mining engineer, with the basic ability of mining area planning, exploitation and design of the mine, control technology of rocks, mine safety technology and engineering design aspects.

1) Master the basic theory and basic knowledge of mining;

2) Master the design method of mining area exploitation, mining, and roadway development;

3) Master the technologies of mine pressure and rock mass engineering monitoring, mine ventilation and air conditioning, mine safety and mine disaster prevention

4) With the initial ability of advanced production organization and technical management, as well as the initial ability of new technology, new technology research and development;

5) Familiar with the basic laws and regulations related to the mining industry;

6) Master the basic methods of document retrieval and data query, and have certain ability of scientific research and practical work.
