Zhengzhou University Scholarships
In order to attract excellent international candidates to pursue their degree study in China, Zhengzhou University establishes "Zhengzhou University Scholarships for Excellent International Students ".
1. The scheme of Zhengzhou University Scholarships for Excellent International Students
1). First Rank: One year, non-renewable, top 2% of the batch
2). Second Rank: One year, non-renewable, top 3% of the batch
3). Third Rank: One year, non-renewable, top 5% of the batch

2. Qualification and Prerequisite
1). International students in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with their study period more than one year (including one year) can apply for this scholarship. International student with Chinese Government Scholarship or students in their extended study period cannot apply for this scholarship.
2). All applicants should strictly abide by the laws and regulations of Chinese Government & the rules of Zhengzhou University, participate in school and social welfare and activities actively, and behave well in their daily life.
3). All applicants should excel in their academic performances. They should accomplish all compulsory and elective courses with outstanding result of top 30%.
4). For undergraduate applicants, they should study hard with clear learning objectives and class attendance more than 90%; and the total courses chosen for each semester should be four or more.
5). For postgraduate applicant, they should accomplish:
A. Win the third or higher prize in national or international competition, or
B. Publish at least one academic article in eminent national or international journals cited in SCI, EI, ISTP, A & HCI or CSSCI, or publish one academic book.
3. Students of the following types can not apply for this scholarship:
1). Violating the relevant provisions of entry exit administration with punishment;
2). Infringement of social morality with the harmful effect;
3). Serious violation of school rules;
4). Cheating and other prohibited acts in examination;
5). Bullying and violence;
6). Other misconducts with punishment more than warning;
7). Having not paid the tuition or accommodation fee.
Henan Provincial Government Scholarship
Qualified international students of Zhengzhou University can apply for Henan Provincial Government Scholarship.
1.Application criteria
(1), Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, without criminal records.
(2). Education background and age limit:
Applicants for undergraduate programs must have a senior high school diploma with a good academic performance and be under the age of 30.
Applicants for the master's degree program must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 40.
Applicants for the doctoral degree program must have a master's degree and be under the age of 45.
(3). Applicants must agree to obey the relevant laws of the PRC and meet the admission requirements of the host universities or colleges.
(4). Applicants must have a good academic record.
(5). Applicants cannot be recipients of other scholarships offered by Chinese government, local governments or other organizations simultaneously.
(6). Applicants should have a good English proficiency.
2. Application documents:

(2). Scan copy of highest diploma / degree certificate (notarized). High school students or university students shall also provide Certificate of Enrollment from the school or the university they are studying in. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
(3). Scan copy of Academic transcripts (notarized): Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
(4). Scan copy of Recommendation letters: Applicants for postgraduate studies must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors with contact details of referees.
(5). Scan copy of the passport photo page.
(6). No less than 400 words study plan for bachelor degree applicants, no less than 600 words study plan for master degree applicants, no less than 800 words study plan for doctoral degree applicants.
(7). Scan copy of English proficiency certificate
(8). Scan copy of notarized Physical Examination Certificate and blood check report in English or Chinese
(9). Scan copy of notarized no-criminal certificate
(10). Students under age 18 should submit relevant legal documents from their guardians.
